Corrections Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Useful information must remain open to correction. If a Nigeria Desk article contains an error, omits an important condition or describes a process that has changed, please tell us.

How To Report A Problem

Use the contact form and choose “Correction”. Include the article URL, the particular statement that needs checking, and a brief explanation. A link to a dated public notice or a relevant provider page can help us assess the issue.

Do not send confidential documents, identification numbers or private account details. A clear description of the public information is usually more useful than a screenshot containing personal data.

What Happens Next

We assess the report against the scope and date of the article, check relevant evidence and decide whether to correct, clarify, update or retain the wording. We may ask for more detail. Submission does not guarantee a particular change or an individual reply.

How Changes Are Shown

Minor spelling, grammar or formatting fixes may be made without a note. Substantive errors should be corrected with an explanation when the original wording could have materially affected a reader’s understanding. When a service changes after publication, an update may be more appropriate than a correction.

We do not change an accurate article solely because someone dislikes its conclusions, and we do not accept payment to conceal a material error.

Account-Specific Disputes

Nigeria Desk cannot adjudicate a dispute, recover funds or change an organisation’s records. Please contact the responsible organisation or appropriate authority for that kind of assistance.
